A victim of Mamta Government Mrityunjay Kumar Singh is likely to be appointed new Cultural Advisor to the BJP Government in West Bengal. Mrityunjay Kumar Singh A 1987 batch former IPS officer of West Bengal cadre, has served as SP of Murshidabad and undivided Midnapore, with deep operational insight into Bengal’s complex security landscape. At the national level, he has contributed as Director in the Ministry of External Affairs, handling Bangladesh affairs, and as Counsellor (Culture) at the Indian Mission in Jakarta, strengthening India’s cultural diplomacy. Beyond administration, he is a noted Hindi and Bhojpuri poet-novelist with strong grassroots connect among linguistic communities across Bengal. His combined expertise in internal security, cross-border dynamics, and cultural cohesion positions him as a credible and well-rounded candidate for a Security or Cultural Advisor role in the Government of West Bengal.
